Banana Moon – Kornit certified training
Banana Moon contacted the Capitb Trust for help with training in the operation of the Kornit DTG machine. Without formal training, the machine was not being utilised to its full capacity, leading to operational challenges.
Employee Lemmy participated in certified training provided by Kornit’s professional engineers. As Kornit’s printing technology is exclusive, only their certified trainers can offer in-depth technical education. The training covered a range of critical skills, including:
- Gaining a deeper understanding of the machine’s functionality and the rationale behind specific processes
- Developing troubleshooting skills to efficiently address and resolve operational issues
- Learning how to fix and replace key components, such as changing ink pumps and handling print heads
- Understanding maintenance procedures, including the degassing system and its impact on preventing oil buildup that could damage the machine
- Learning about vacuum pressure settings and their role in ink circulation, ensuring proper function of the ink heads
- Mastering adjustments for print head height and substrate thickness to optimise print quality
- Gaining knowledge of electrical systems and terminology, enabling better communication with Kornit support team when reporting issues
- Building confidence in independently disassembling and maintaining the machine, reducing reliance on Kornit support for minor adjustments and repairs
By investing in Kornit certified training, the business has unlocked new levels of efficiency and expertise in DTG printing. Lemmy’s journey from basic operational knowledge to advanced troubleshooting and machine maintenance has not only benefited her personal development but has also strengthened the company’s overall production capabilities and lowered aftercare numbers due to advanced printing knowledge which in turn reduces waste reflecting company’s values and sustainability.
