Golden Shears Awards 2023, Sponsored by CapitB

The final of the Golden Shears competition which celebrates the best new talent in tailoring, took place on Monday the 20th of March 2023. With entries from across the UK, finalists were judged on both their technical and design abilities. In his role as a Trustee of the CAPITB Trust, The UK Fashion and Textile Association’s (UKFT) CEO Adam Mansell presented the winners with their prize:

• 1st prize The Golden Shears and £3,000 awarded to Mila Dastugue, The Wimbledon College of Arts
• 2nd prize The Silver Shears and £2,500 awarded to Victoria Demekhina, The Tailoring Academy
• 3rd prize The Rising Star and £2,000 Imogen Pike, The Wimbledon College of Arts
