Whitchurch Silk Mill – Shannon Bye

CapitB Trust supported the successful completion of Shannon Bye’s training course as a Textile Technical Specialist. Shannon has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill throughout the programme, contributing significantly to the success of Whitchurch Silk Mill’s projects.

Shannon’s training included comprehensive instruction in advanced textile techniques, machinery operation, and quality control. She has mastered the following skills:

• Weaving techniques and loom operation
• Textile design and pattern creation
• Quality assessment and control
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of textile machinery

This training has enabled Shannon to make valuable contributions, and as a result, she has been instrumental in the success of several key projects. These include the Jane Austen ribbons, which were recognised in the textile world. Her work has helped elevate the Mill’s reputation and attract increased interest in our weaving activities.
